Chances are you’ve started to see pumpkins (and jack-o-lanterns) already in stores – Halloween is just right around the corner, folks! And although you still have a while to come up with the perfect costume, you’ll want to start planning your memorable autumn/Halloween trip to the Smokies right away.
Date and Time
The Island in Pigeon Forge, the popular shopping and entertainment complex, is hosting its 3rd Annual Halloween celebration from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
Cost
The event is free and open to the public. Guests can expect hayrides, spooky storytelling, a kids’ circus, costume contest, candy stations at every store and plenty of other Halloween surprises.
Things to do
The centerpiece of the Island is the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, which stands as one of the tallest attractions in the Southeast at 200 feet tall. The wheel provides riders with an unparalleled view of our world famous Smoky Mountains in comfortable all-glass gondolas that seat up to eight guests.
